Why Learn Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle hands-on technique that facilitates healing on all levels of being.
So why would you want to learn?
Reiki can be used for yourself or for others to promote relaxation, which in turn results in decreased levels of stress hormones, improvement in immune response, and reductions in heart rate and blood pressure (Dr. Andrew Weil, Self-Healing newsletter).
When Reiki is used to assist the body in coping with surgery, illness, chronic pain, medical treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation, or other stressful situations, the body is often able to recover more quickly, with reduced side affects and less need for pain medication.
Many doctors note that surgical patients recover more quickly and have lower rates of infection.
Reiki is not a replacement for medical care by a licensed healthcare provider.
It is, however, a useful adjunct to such care, as it addresses not only the body, but the whole person. Always be sure to consult your healthcare provider regarding any health concerns you have.

First Degree Reiki Professional Training
In this training, we cover the history and background of Reiki, what Reiki is (and isn’t), and how it is believed to work. Classes include plenty of time for hands-on practice so that when you leave, you are comfortable with your new skill and able to practice Reiki from a base of experience.
Training includes:
- First Degree attunement (this opens your energy system to the energy that is Reiki)
- How to use Reiki energy
- The traditional hand positions for self-treatment
- Letting your intuition be your guide
- Basic Japanese Reiki techniques (as taught by Dr. Usui) such as
- o Gassho meditation
- o Detecting where Reiki is needed
- o Clearing your energy field after giving a Reiki session
- A Certificate of Proficiency
Tuition is $175.00.
This includes the training manual for both First and Second Degrees.
This is an 8-hour program, offered in four two-hour segments.

Second Degree Reiki Professional Training
Second Degree is the “nuts and bolts” of Reiki as an art of facilitating self-healing and for others. Training includes plenty of practice time, during which you’ll give and receive Reiki using what you learn.
Training includes:
- Second Degree attunement, which connects you to the first three Reiki symbols.
- The first three symbols, which intensify the energy flow
- When and how to use the symbols
- Hand positions for giving Reiki to others
- More Japanese Reiki techniques
- Giving (and receiving) a complete Reiki session
- The Hayashi Healing Guide, a hand position guide for over 100 illnesses and conditions
- A Certificate of Proficiency
Tuition is $225.00.
The training manual is included if you have taken First Degree.
This is an 8-hour program offered in four two-hour segments.

Third Degree Advanced Reiki Professional Training
Reiki is both an energy modality and a spiritual practice. We cover the connections with other ancient healing beliefs and practices. Here we cover in depth information about Reiki symbols and how they work, and other techniques that can be used in conjunction with Reiki.Training Includes:
- Third Degree Attunement
- Three new symbols, their meaning and use
- Additional meditations and meditation techniques
- Using crystals and stones with Reiki
- Aura Clearing
- Certificate of Proficiency
Tuition is $300, which includes the manual for both Third Degree and Master/Teacher training.
This is an 8-hour program offered, in four two-hour segments.

Master Teacher and Karuna Reiki Professional Training
Usui Master/Teacher training is offered to individuals who have been certified as Advanced Reiki Practitioners for at least six months. Karuna Reiki Training is offered to those who have been Certified as Usui Reiki Masters for at least one year.This is a highly customized program based on your level of experience.
